| Stake Car Set
Two type Rs 684 stake cars and one type Res 686 stake car. All of the cars are painted and lettered for the German Railroad, Inc. (DB AG). The cars look as they did around 2006.
Both the type Rs 684 and the type Res 686 stake cars are suited for transport of heavy, long products of the iron and steel industry and prefabricated parts as well as lumber, small iron parts, semi-finished products, vehicles and other bulky and heavy freight. Both types offer a load surface of 18.5 meters / 60 feet 8 inches. The differences are in the version with folding side walls (only Res 686) and with folding load restraints (only Rs 684). Due to the low floor heights, containers can also be hauled in both types. |
