VSM Museum Apeldoorn, Dealers day car 2018 On Märklin Dealer Da on April 23, 2018 at the VSM (Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij), Märklin released a one-off passenger carriage that is used at the VSM. See: https://stoomtrein.org In the spring of 1975, a group of enthusiasts gave the first impetus to the establishment of the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij, in short VSM. In the same spring, the first wagons and the first steam locomotive were refurbished. Since then, the VSM has been run by a large number of enthusiastic and skilled volunteers. With great care, patience and knowledge, they work on the maintenance and maintenance of the locomotives, carriages and freight cars. Through internal training, they also pass on their knowledge to the younger generations. The many commercially skilled steam and diesel locomotives – from various German and Dutch series – are their pride and challenge. This also applies to the many carriages. Like the so-called ‘Austrians’ with open balconies and the Dutch ‘Block Boxes’, which date from the 1920s. In addition, the VSM owns luxury carriages, from Wagons-Lits and Mitropa, in which guests can have lunch, dinner, party and meet. With all this we are busy showing and letting the railway history on the Veluwe (and beyond).
