From Door to Door ... The units in the Von Haus zu Haus (From Door to Door) system designated as medium size containers are known in railroad jargon as pa containers. The French expression porteur aménagé means approximately transport equipment. These containers were developed in different forms for different types of freight. Common to all of the types of containers are the maximum loading gauge and the standard mount that is used on all railroad and highway vehicles in this system. |
