Express Train Passenger Cars with the Greatest of Comfort - The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) placed a completely and newly developed roster of cars into service for cross-border passenger service with the Mark IV Euro-City cars. In addition to the open seating cars for 1st and 2nd class accommodations with their very modern equipment and based on the same basic design, there are also new, so-called panorama cars with especially high side windows reaching up into the vaulted area of the roof. The current InterCity paint and lettering scheme gives these Mark IV cars and extraordinarily elegant appearance, particularly in a closed car consist. |
