The red-orange plastic housing has a dark-grey roof with dark-brown insulators. The roof lines are made of nickel-plated and red-lacquered wire. The mounted pantographs correspond to the type 9B. A cream colored wraparound trim line is at the bottom and a slightly wider one in the center of the locomotive. Furthermore, there is a decorative line that runs across the drivers cabs. The windows used are transparent and, with the exception of the portholes, have a silver frame. The shields on the sides in the middle are raised. All inscriptions and the SJ logo are printed in white. Also the existing drivers cab markings A and B is printed in white. The existing four-light peak signal, two lamps above and two below, changes with the direction of travel. The red lamp at the top center is red as a dummy and not functional. Blue plastic rear-view mirror replicas are located at the corners of the drivers cabs.
The gray cast chassis has a powered bogie with four traction tires. The buffer beam is also grey. The decorative line above
is red. The wheel sets consist of disc wheels with a black/grey background, which are covered by a medium-grey plastic
cover. The locomotive has yellow rail clearers on each end.

Design like variant 3341.01, but the red decorative line is only in the front area and zigzags on the sides.
The drivers cab markings A and B have been removed. The rail clearers were given a red color scheme in this variant.
The model received a 4-dip delta decoder instead of the direction switch.
