Description
. The story of the Mozartkugel begins where the gifted composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born: in Salzburg. The origins of the Mozartkugel go back to the Salzburg confectioner Paul Fürst. About 100 years after the gifted composer W.A. Mozarts work in Salzburg, he created the first Mozart Bonbon in his honor – this was the original name for the spherical chocolate specialty until around the turn of the century. Fürst formed small marzipan balls, rolled them in hazelnut nougat cream, placed them on small wooden sticks, and dipped them in warm, fine chocolate until they were evenly coated with a layer of chocolate. The Mozartkugel was born.
